The school believes in providing opportunities for all students to be part of a holistic school experience that prepares them for the future. The key school-wide programmes, as featured below, are designed to meet our student profile, needs and interests while offering them opportunities for holistic development: Applied Learning Programme: Nature-Based Education (NBE) Through three key areas of focus - Nature Exploration, Nature as Learning Context, and Applied Learning in Nature Conservation, the NBE provides our students with opportunities to construct their own knowledge and acquire life skills through interaction with the environment around them. Learning for Life Programme: HE'ARTS@CAPS HE'ARTS@CAPS, which stands for Holistic Education through the ARTS at Casuarina Primary School, aims to provide students with a holistic education through the school's arts programme. The programme serves to develop students in creativity and expression. Through targeted learning experiences, HE'ARTS@CAPS also promotes inter-ethnic bonding and the appreciation of our cultural heritage, thus cultivating a sense of national pride and identity. Signature Programme: The Art of Language The Art of Language aims to develop students in the area of literary arts, which is defined as 'the integration of self-expression, ideation, literary appreciation and creative writing'. The programme adopts a progressive and developmental approach in promoting the essential competencies of the literary arts. At Primary 1 and 2, students learn basic literary genres such as Poetry, as well as develop confidence in self-expression through Speech and Drama. Students then learn to appreciate literature and further build their confidence through the Drama in Literature Programme at Primary 3 and 4. The appreciation of the language is extended further through the Primary 5 and 6 school-based writing modules that extend the students' exposure and experience in literary writing techniques.
