  • School Vision

Empowering our students to Live with Passion and Lead with Compassion.

  • School Mission

We nurture Leaders in Research, Industry and Government to serve our nation.

  • School Philosophy, Culture and Ethos

Hwa Chong provides an intellectually-stimulating, secure and joyful environment that meets the needs of students from all backgrounds. We offer a curiosity-driven 6-year Integrated Programme (IP) that teaches students to embrace the values of innovation, integrity, passion, and compassion.

All our students receive a sustained character education which encourages them to work with the community through local and global service-learning initiatives. Hwa Chong Institution's (HCI) mission is to nurture leaders for the nation: leaders with a heart to serve the community. We take pride in grooming servant leaders who display civic responsibility and empathy. Annually, Hwa Chong students provide support to the underprivileged through various initiatives. Many of our students have partnered key welfare organisations to helm innovative Values-in-Action projects. As active contributors to civil society, Hwa Chong students have opportunities to learn from, and serve in, local and international communities through various student-led projects. These projects often mark the beginning of a long-term commitment of service to the community.

Drawing from the best of East and West, our extensive global network links our students to leading universities and industry partners. We work closely with industry captains and professors, and encourage our students to pursue multidisciplinary interests. Each year, our students go on to leading institutions for their undergraduate study, with a strong entry to some of the world's best universities. To date, Hwa Chong has produced 58 President's Scholars, and has groomed stewards of many key sectors. All our students are equipped with the skills and dispositions to help Singapore navigate the challenges in this new global age.
