  • School Vision
Every Xishanite, A Lifelong Learner, A Contributing Citizen
  • School Mission
To create opportunities where passions are ignited, potentials discovered and dreams realised.
  • School Philosophy, Culture and Ethos

In Xishan, our Motto: Love, Care and Share, forms the pillar of creating an inviting environment for Xishanites to explore and to take advantage of a plethora of opportunities created for them. These opportunities are integral to the student centric, values driven education in Xishan. With the philosophy of "Every child can and wants to learn", the school commits to the School Mission: Creating Opportunities Where Passions are Ignited, Potential discovered and Dreams Realised. We aim to inspire our Xishanites to discover their interests and talents and create meaningful learning experiences to develop them holistically. We hope to empower Xishanites to be leaders, equipped with essential life-skills to navigate towards achieving their dreams. Values define a person#s character and shape the beliefs, attitudes and actions of a person. Underpinned by our 4 core values (Self-Discipline, Integrity, Respect and Resilience), the school endeavours to develop every Xishanite to become flourishing and thriving individuals, learners and citizens, fulfilling the School Vision: Every Xishanite, a Lifelong Learner, a Contributing Citizen.

  • Distinctive Programmes

The school believes that academic learning and character building are equally important in developing the whole child. Our Learning for Life Programme (LLP), develops confident leaders through mental skills empowerment and values in action. We believe that every Xishanite is capable of mastering skills to be an effective leader and contribute meaningfully by serving others. In this programme, students participate in leadership trainings and service learning to hone their leadership competencies. These platforms harness student voices to nurture Xishanites to become active agents of change and confident leaders with a heart of service. The Applied Learning Programme (ALP) for Xishanites is designed with a focus on journalism. It is called NEXUS which stands for News Enrichment Xishanites Unitedly Share. Through this programme, students are brought through a progressive curriculum that deepens their learning in the various language skills whilst immersing them in a rich and authentic journalistic experience. Through our ALP programme, students are also given an authentic opportunity to apply what they have learnt in their languages.
