Since 1959, Serangoon Garden Secondary School (SGS) has enjoyed the trust and confidence of the community for over 61 years. SGS is known and valued for nurturing SGSians through a strong culture of compassion, respect and care, and an innovative future-ready curriculum. Through this, many SGSians have had their lives transformed. Our distinguished alumni have exemplified the vision of "Critical Thinkers. Thoughtful Leaders." displaying their abilities to navigate the complexities and ambiguities of the future while guided by the school values of Perseverance, Respect, Integrity, Diligence and Empathy (P.R.I.D.E). Some of the PRIDE of SGS include Football coach Fandi Ahmad and local entrepreneur Mr Francis Ng(owner, House of Seafood) and many more.

In our journey of growing future-ready compassionate and contributing citizens, the school has committed ourselves in harnessing innovative pedagogies. These include the incorporation of Thinking Routines, Design Thinking and leveraging the affordances of technology to enable SGSians to have greater autonomy and choices in their own learning. Varied opportunities are provided for SGSians through the Level Signature programmes (including overseas trips) and co-curricular activities (CCAs) to realise their fullest potential through authentic learning.
