- Distinctive Programmes
In Kranji Secondary School, we provide a myriad of opportunities and platforms for Kranjians to learn and grow as leaders in support of our vision in developing "Leaders with a heart to serve and thinkers with the drive to excel". The school has three distinctive programmes. The Applied Learning Programme (ALP), Design Innovation for Sustainable Living, aims to spur innovations for sustainable living amongst our student community in their chosen areas of interest. Through our in-house THink, INquire in Kranji (THINK) Programme, students acquire design thinking and critical thinking skills and apply them to bring about innovative green solutions to improve our community. Students champion and take action towards Singapore's sustainability goals as eco-stewards. The second distinctive programme is the Learning for Life Programme (LLP), Community and Youth Leadership. This provides Kranjians with leadership and learning experiences that support their development as socially responsible citizens who contribute meaningfully to the community, through the learning and application of values, knowledge and skills. The third distinctive programme is the Internationalisation Programme. This programme aims to equip students with a global perspective. Our partnerships with school partners in Asia (such as China, Japan, Thailand, Taiwan and the Philippines) and local research institutions (such as ASEAN Studies Centre) has created educational and cultural experiences that enable our students to exercise their creativity, information reasoning and problem-solving abilities through individual tasks and student-created digital content. These would foster deeper joy of learning in our students and to network with their peers overseas.
