- Distinctive Programmes
The school's STEM ALP, "Real Food, Real Science" helps to develop critical thinking & inventive problem solving skills, engaging & enriching Woodlanders to prepare them for the future. In Sec 1, students focus on molecular gastronomy techniques & practise Design Thinking to create innovative, attractive and healthier mocktails. They visit industry partners to experience industry-standard Food Science. In Sec 2, students focus on programming & technology to build and strengthen computational thinking. Our LLP, "Paying it Forward", provides curated authentic experiences in community initiatives to inculcate leadership qualities in Woodlanders. A spiraling approach from Sec 1 to 4, students go through the design thinking process in which their learning would culminate in an overseas learning journey, Glocal Citizens Programme in Sec 3. As servant leaders, they build team spirit, nourishing and renewing the energy of those who are in need within the community. The school is committed in nurturing Woodlanders to become effective and confident communicators. Our effective communicator curriculum aims to develop strong articulation and expression through the Sec 1 storytelling enrichment, and to develop a nimble mind with mature and clear opinions through the Sec 2 and 3 public speaking module.
